What this policy covers

This policy covers comparepeptide.org, published by Compare Peptide, an independent comparison publication.

It explains what is measured when you read the site, what is deliberately switched off, and how to opt out.

It does not cover a provider's own site. Once you follow a link out, that company's policy is the one that applies to you.

What loading a page involves

Serving a page needs the ordinary things any web request needs: the address you asked for, your browser's own description of itself, and the network address the request arrived from.

The hosting service handles those in the course of delivering the page. They are what makes a page arrive, not a profile of the person reading it.

Pages are served over an encrypted connection.

What is measured

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages get read.

Measurement starts when you arrive, and analytics storage is granted by default, which is the standard posture for visitors in the United States.

Advertising storage stays off. Advertising identifiers, ad personalization, and ad user data are denied by default and are not switched on later in the visit.

No advertising or remarketing audience is built from your reading, because the storage that would make one possible is never granted.

What that measurement records is page level: which pages load, roughly where a request came from, which page sent you here, and which outbound links get clicked.

Global Privacy Control

The Global Privacy Control signal is honored. If your browser or an extension sends GPC, it is treated as a valid opt-out request and nothing further is needed from you.

The signal is respected on every page, on every visit, for as long as your browser keeps sending it.

Your standing opt-out

The opt-out control on this page turns analytics measurement off. It is a standing choice, not a one-visit dismissal, and it stays in force until you change it.

The choice is stored in your browser, so it applies to that browser on that device. Clearing site data clears it, and you can set it again here.

Browser-level tracking protections and analytics blockers also work, and the site does nothing to route around them.

The choice is read before measurement starts, not after, so opting out does not leave one measured page behind.

What happens when you click through to a provider

Every provider link is a redirect through this site at /go/. For a paid partner, that redirect carries this site's publisher id and the page context that produced the click, so the affiliate network can attribute it.

For a provider that is not a paid partner, the redirect carries no tracking and lands on the provider's own site.

No name, email, or account detail is attached to a redirect, because the site does not have any of those.

Once you land on a provider's site, that company's privacy policy governs. What it collects there, and what it does with it, is outside our control.

On a partner's link, the page context added at the redirect names this site, the offer, and the provider. It also records the page the click came from, the position in the list, the slot on the page, and which version of that slot was shown.

Those are descriptions of a page, not of a person. There is no identifier on that hop that says who you are, because none exists here to send.

The redirect itself sets no cookie and keeps no profile. It reads the link you clicked and forwards you.

Your browser sends the receiving company whatever it normally sends any site you visit, including your network address. That happens on any link you follow anywhere.

The panel on your way out, and the one thing it remembers

Clicking out to a provider that pays this site nothing can open one panel first, offering an alternative. The disclosure page explains why it exists.

So that it cannot become a nuisance, the browser keeps a small counter of how many times it has appeared in this visit and which companies it has already appeared for.

That counter lives in your browser's per-visit storage. It holds a number and a short list of provider slugs, it is never sent anywhere, and it is gone when the browsing session ends.

What is not collected

No accounts, no logins, no newsletter list, and no payment details. The site sells nothing and processes no orders.

No health information is requested anywhere on the site, and none should be sent to us. If you email, leave your medical history out of it.

There is no form on the site that asks for your name, your weight, your prescription, or your condition. There is nowhere to enter any of it.

Cookies and similar storage

Two kinds of storage are used: the cookies Google Analytics 4 sets to count a visit, and the local storage that remembers your opt-out choice.

No advertising cookies are set, and no third-party advertising tags run on the site.

The per-visit counter described above is the only other thing written to your browser, and it holds no identity.

Other things a page loads

Typefaces are served from this site's own address rather than fetched from a font service, so reading a page does not announce you to one.

Provider logos are files held here and served from here. A mark shown on a page does not call out to the company it belongs to.

Apart from the analytics vendor named above, no third-party service is loaded on a page. There is no advertising network, no social widget, and no tag manager carrying anything else in.

Who else is involved

The analytics vendor named above processes measurement data on its own systems, under its own terms, as the provider of that service.

A hosting service delivers the pages, which is the other place ordinary request data is handled.

Nothing is sold, and nothing is handed to a data broker, an advertising network, or a provider being compared here.

Children

The site is written for adults, is not directed to children, and does not knowingly collect information from them.

If you believe a child has sent something to the address below, write to it and say so, and the message will be deleted.

How long analytics data is kept

Analytics data expires under the retention setting configured on the Google Analytics property, after which the platform deletes it automatically.

Nothing you send by email is added to analytics, and a message is kept only as long as it takes to answer it and to keep a record of the answer.

The opt-out setting and the per-visit counter are not kept by us at all. They live in your browser, and clearing site data removes them.

Email, and what to leave out of one

Writing to the address below tells us your email address and whatever you put in the message. That is the only route by which you can hand this site anything about yourself.

Leave medical details out. A correction needs a page, a sentence, and a source, and none of those is about your health.

A message is answered and kept as a record of the answer, and it is not added to any list.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted, and to opt out of sale or sharing.

The do-not-sell page explains the opt-out routes and how to send a request. Using any of these rights changes nothing about your access to the site.

Because there is no account and no name here, a request usually has little attached to it to return or delete. It is still read, and it is still answered in writing.

Security

The strongest protection here is that there is almost nothing to protect. No account, no password, no payment record, and no health record exists on this site to be exposed.

The connection is encrypted, and the measurement described above is the only data collection running on the site.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and nothing written here should be read as a guarantee against every possibility.

No certification is claimed

No privacy seal, certification, framework membership, or third-party audit is claimed here. This policy describes how the site is configured, and that is the whole of the claim.

Changes to this policy

The effective date at the top of this policy is the date of the current version. A material change moves that date and is described in the section it affects.
